Digital Mammography
Breast care is an essential part of women's health care. Women's Clinic offers the latest in mammography screening by using digital technology. Selenia™ digital mammography is one of the most advanced diagnostic tools to visualize abnormalities. This system represents a major breakthrough in the early detection of breast cancer. Our equipment along with our experienced Radiological Technologists will ensure you the most accurate exam possible.
Diagnostic X-Ray
We now offer diagnostic x-ray services at our Family Health Care Center location. This addition will allow us to more conveniently serve all of your health care needs.
Osteoporosis Screening (DEXA Scanning)
Women are at greater risk for osteoporosis because their bones are lighter and smaller. The most accurate, non-invasive, safe and painless test available to measure bone mineral density (BMD) is the Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) measurement of the spine and hip. Our DEXA scanner enables us to measure the bone density of our patients on site. This service is especially intended for patients over the age of 40 and can be scheduled on the same day as your annual exam.
Ultrasound
Many ultrasound services are offered at Women's Clinic for your convenience. Ultrasound scanning uses sound waves to project a picture of internal body organs onto a television monitor. For gynecology, ultrasound is used to evaluate the uterus, ovaries and tubes. Breast ultrasound is also available for patients and is used to compliment a diagnostic mammogram or to investigate a palpable area on the breast.
For pregnancy, ultrasound is routinely used to measure growth and development of the growing fetus. Genetic screening is also available to pregnant women who elective to have the test. Two of our ultrasound technicians are Nuchal Translucency certified and perform genetic risk screening. This test, performed at 12-14 weeks pregnancy, utilizes ultrasound and blood tests to help identify babies who may be at risk for Down's Sydrome or Trisomy18.
3D Ultrasound
Soon to be parents now have a new opportunity to start their baby album early! We have recently added 3D ultrasound imaging at our office so parents, if they choose, can bond with their baby between 24 to 30 weeks of pregnancy. Parents find these amazingly clear images of their baby priceless. This exam is a completely elective, as it is not covered by insurance, but a wonderful opportunity to meet the newest member of your family. You will receive ultrasound photos and imagines on a CD so you cherish this memory for a lifetime. We encourage you to bring a few close family members to share your joy in this incredible experience.

If you are experiencing loss of appetite, fatigue, insomnia, low energy, trouble concentrating, irritable, bad mood, or sadness. Do you know your symptoms
could be depression and/or anxiety? What can you do about it? People with the above symptoms usually assume they have an ailment that is simply physical.
Sometimes that is true, but often what is really occurring is depression and /or anxiety. It's not "all in your head," and it can be quite successfully treated.
At Women's Clinic, we are aware of the connections between our minds and bodies and know there are very effective treatments. Medicine to affect brain chemicals
is a choice, as is "talk therapy" or counseling. For most people, combining medicine and talk works best.
